"If we could see the miracle of a single flower clearly, our whole life would change."~Buddha
This is such a simple, yet thought provoking and powerful quote! I use this quote quite often as a reminder to take notice of the little things in life that we sometimes take for granted. The little things ARE the big things, and they bring so much beauty and wonder into our lives. I admit, when I begin to feel lost in the rush of life, I begin to take those little things for granted. It happens to all of us! We aren't always going to feel present or connected...BUT, we have the power within ourselves to be aware when begin to feel caught up in the current of our everyday lives. When the noise of the world becomes too much for us to bear, we can choose to slow down, leave behind our troubles, if only for a moment, and take notice of all the beauty and miracles that surround us.
Sometimes, in the spring, when my garden is in full bloom, I take a walk with the bees in the morning; they just buzz along from flower to flower. This is such a beautiful thing if you really choose to SEE what is happening! They spend their lives collecting the nectar that nourishes and gives them life, and in turn they give life to the garden! What a beautiful metaphor to use in our own lives! Every day, collect the nectar, and fill yourself up with the sweetness of life, so that you can in turn give back sweetness to others!
How do you find miracles, the wonder, the beauty in the everyday? Flowers? Sunsets? The smile of a loved one? Your very breath? Tell me.
